Where does it hurt?
Touch the area that's been holding you back. The body map is a starting point for understanding — not a menu for ordering treatment.
Three stages that move from where you are to where your body wants to be.
01 — Identify
Use our interactive body map to pinpoint where your discomfort lives — and when it started.
02 — Assess
A full clinical evaluation maps your posture, range of motion, and root dysfunction — not just symptoms.
03 — Restore
Specific adjustments and rehabilitative work to support neurological regulation and restore ease of movement.
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Zhang grew up with a passion for learning about health and wellness. After graduating from University of Toronto majoring in Human Biology, she went on to obtain a doctoral degree in Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West in San Francisco Bay Area, California.
Among her years practicing in the United States, Dr. Zhang became an experienced doctor in clinical diagnosis and patient care. She also co-founded a Non-Profit organization that brought free spinal screening and free spinal care to hundreds of patients in China and Mexico through Chiropractic service trips. As a health enthusiast, she taught basic anatomy course weekly for TCM students from 2018-2020.
Dr. Zhang's mission is to help patients find root cause to their ailments and empower them with real solutions. She's also passionate about raising awareness of benefits to Chiropractic care, particularly among immigrant communities in Canada.
My approach to chiropractic care goes beyond adjusting joints. I focus on how the nervous system regulates the body — particularly the balance between the sympathetic (“fight-or-flight”) and parasympathetic (“rest-and-repair”) branches of the autonomic nervous system.
The spine is not just a mechanical structure — it is the primary communication pathway of the nervous system. When spinal segments lose healthy motion or become irritated, they influence how the brain and body regulate stress, pain, digestion, sleep, and recovery.
“Fight-or-Flight”
“Rest & Repair”
A central regulator of the parasympathetic system — governing digestion, heart rate variability, stress resilience, and the body's ability to shift from a survival state into a state where healing and regulation can occur naturally.
Looking beyond joint function to the nervous system's response to stress.
I evaluate spinal motion, fixation, and irritation at each segment — the structural foundation of neurological interference.
I identify signs of sympathetic overdrive and reduced vagal tone — patterns linked to chronic pain, tension, and poor recovery.
Vagus nerve function is central to the evaluation — determining whether the nervous system is in a healing or a survival state.
Each adjustment is designed to restore neurological signalling — not just joint motion — supporting the body’s own regulatory capacity.

Understanding what happens at each stage of your care journey
The first visit includes an initial assessment and treatment. This is the time where Dr. Zhang first gets to know the patient's symptoms and complaints.
Dr. Zhang asks a series of highly relevant clinical history questions to understand the causes of your health experience.
Questions may include chronology of symptoms, diet, sleep, level of physical activity, history of injury, and lifestyle habits.
A thorough assessment of your joint and muscle biomechanics patterns.
Dr. Zhang explains the diagnosis and helps you understand the causes of your symptoms before proceeding to treatment.
Your first chiropractic treatment session begins once you have a clear understanding of your condition.
Regular treatment sessions combine various manual and instrument-assisted corrections to abnormal biomechanics patterns, aimed at restoring normal joint motion and muscle movement.
Most patients start with 1–2 visits per week for 2–4 weeks to begin addressing the underlying patterns.
As symptoms show significant reduction, most patients transition to once a week until full recovery is achieved.
Dr. Zhang provides updated home exercises and lifestyle changes based on your speed of recovery and level of tolerance.
Ongoing guidance helps you maintain recovery results and prevent future symptom relapse.
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to palpate your muscle and joints. Be aware that wearing socks are Required.
Any previous X-rays, MRI scans, or medical reports relevant to your condition are helpful on your first visit.
Adjustments may cause brief discomfort but are generally well-tolerated. Dr. Zhang adapts techniques to your comfort level.

The beliefs that shape every assessment, every adjustment, and every conversation.
My role is to remove interference, not impose correction. Given the right conditions, the nervous system knows how to return to balance.
Symptoms are the body communicating — not a permanent state to manage indefinitely. Understanding the signal matters more than silencing it.
A joint restriction is never purely mechanical. Every spinal segment is in constant dialogue with the brain.
The best outcomes come from shared understanding. I explain what I find, what I do, and why — every time.
